LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Everton striker Duncan Ferguson has been told by manager David Moyes that a second injection on his bad back may represent his last chance to cure the injury.
Injury-cursed Ferguson has made only 26 league appearances for the Toffees since rejoining them from Newcastle United for a transfer fee of £3.75million in August 2000.
And the 30-year-old powerhouse has yet to appear in blue this season as he continues to be troubled by the injury, despite visits to a specialist.
Boss Moyes said: 'There is no time limit with the injury, though he is a
concern. Duncan has had one injection which prevented him from doing any work
for five days.
'We suggested a second but he said "no". A second injection
would be as far as we could go with this current complaint. I
don't think surgery would come into it.'
