Sheffield United's Paul Peschisolido has been ruled out for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a similar injury to that sustained by David Beckham.Canadian international Peschisolido has been struggling for full fitness for several months due to a problem with his big toe which has developed into a new injury.
'Paul's out for the last two matches,' confirmed assistant boss Kevin Blackwell. 'The doctors have told us he's fractured a bone in his foot.
'It's part of the old injury. Basically Paul has had a problem with his big toe and when he's been running he's been over-compensating, running with his weight on the inside of his foot.
'And as a result of that he's fractured the second metatarsal. He won't be fit for six to eight weeks.'
England skipper Beckham fractured the same bone in his left foot during Manchester United's Champions League win over Deportivo and will be out for a similar period.
