Leicester manager Peter Taylor refuses to back down in a verbal battle that threatens to overshadow his club's UEFA Cup tie against Red Star Belgrade.

Relationships between the sides are on a knife-edge after Taylor and the Yugoslav coach, Slavo Muslin, refused to shake hands after the 1-1 first-leg draw at Filbert Street.
Taylor was accused by Muslin of being provocative and insulting but responded yesterday: 'I can assure people that the words he said to me, only shortly after the game had begun, were unrepeatable.
'As far as I was concerned he was the last person whose hand I would wish to shake.' The normally placid Taylor was incensed by the histrionics of the Red Star players, many of whom fell to the ground in apparent agony after only the slightest contact.
Red Star are furious that their 'home' leg should be played on neutral territory - possibly Austria - and are appealing to UEFA to reverse the decision.
