Full-time: Carlisle United 5 - 1 Woking
Soccernet.com

Carlisle United sent non-league Woking scurrying back to the Conference with their tails between their legs after dishing out a 5-1 hammering in Cumbria.

Four goals from striker Ian Stevens, plus a fifth from Scott Dobie, dumped non-league hopefuls Woking out of the FA Cup.

Stevens took less than quarter-of-an-hour to break the deadlock thanks to a pinpoint cross from Mark Birch which was met by a simple header by Stevens.

Number two arrived in the 23rd minute when Stuart Whitehead threaded a ball into the box, which Stevens took in his stride, his angled shot easily beating keeper Vince Matassa.

Eight minutes later, Mick Galloway played a ball through a huge gap in the Woking defence and Stevens found himself in space and he again made no mistake, beating the keeper easily. After half-time, Stevens added to his already-impressive hat-trick with a fourth in the 68th minute, which came courtesy of a Lee Maddison cross that the impressive young striker headed home with ease.

A minute later, the game was put beyond all doubt when Scott Dobie headed goal number five from another Maddison cross.

Woking did manage a consolation in the 72nd minute when a Nick Roddis corner was tucked away by Steve West.
