A superb late goal from Jason Roberts earned Gary Megson's battling West Brom a deserved share of the spoils against Burnley at The Hawthorns.
Burnley looked set to claim their first win at West Brom in 31 years before Roberts struck with just three minutes left.
Substitute Adam Chambers crossed from the right and the former British City striker gave substitute goalkeeper Paul Crichton no chance as he claimed his eighth goal of the season.
It was always Albion who were in charge but they fell behind against the run of play in the 23rd minute when they were punished for slack defending.
Graham Branch charged his way past three Albion defenders in a determined run before planting the ball underneath the advancing Brian Jensen.
Before Branch's strike Burnley keeper Nick Michopoulos made one fine save to beat away a goalbound drive from Ruel Fox.
Michopoulos was forced to bow out of the action in the 15th minute with a damaged ankle and former Albion keeper Crichton took over between the posts.
In the dying seconds of the first half Crichton made one cracking save when he dived to push out for a corner from a shot by Des Lyttle.
After the break Albion continued to dominate with striker Bob Taylor wasting one golden opportunity when he fired his shot high from only 10 yards on the hour.
Then in the 78th minute Dutch midfielder Richard Sneekes had a free header but he nodded the ball just inches wide of the target.
